Blenheim Systems have just completed their biggest project to date installing the Jigsaw Teletag Web based Fuel Management System on all eight Dublin Bus depots and fitting out over 1100 buses with automatic vehicle recognition and mileage capture devices.
Dublin Bus is benefitting from more accurate and real time fuelling information at all its depots following the installation by Blenheim Systems of the real time web based system. An outdated paper based system used by Dublin Bus has been replaced by a bespoke modern automated system developed by Jigsaw and Blenheim Systems to meet the company’s needs.
The Jigsaw system automatically recognises the bus by means of a unique Tele tag and collects its mileage from a pre-fitted On Board Device while also recording the date, time and amount of fuel being dispensed to each bus. All without interfering with the bus refuelling process and no input by the designated fueller allowing for greater speed and accuracy of fuelling.
The bus and fuelling information is automatically exported into Dublin Buses own internal software system giving them the all the information they need while drastically reducing administration time and at the same time increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the whole fuelling operation.
The system was complimented by the installation of a telemetry electronic tank gauging system linked to the Jigsaw FMS software which allows automatic comparison of book stock and live gauge levels. The system can then generate automatic warning emails when the gauge level reaches pre-set reorder and critical levels.
